Wow! What great food! I got the El Pastor quesadilla and it was probably the best quesidilla I've ever eaten. (A little oily, but what can you expect with lots of cheese and the meat itself) Definitely worth it! Would recommend to anyone. Also, got the El Pastor taco and was terrific not to mention you can add onions and salsa all free of charge on the side.

Nothing huge to rave about. Seems like any ordinary Mexican restaurant. I ordered a quesidilla with Al pastor and it came with a little container of watery sour cream, and fresh chopped tomato salsa. The entire quesidilla was quite oily. I understand pastor is generally oily, but this seemed excessively so. We also ordered salsa and chips, and the salsa was the most salty salsa I have ever had. I'm glad we took little containers of the other salsas (on the side for tacos), or else the (somewhat fresh) chips would've gone to waste.

We got the chicken burritos and the ceviche. The chicken burritos were good but particularly greasy for it being grilled chicken. I wondered if they cooked it in pork juice or something. The most disconcerting thing was seeing the head of a cockroach outside the bathroom door. I know st george has a lot of cockroaches but it's still nasty.

In order for me to be honest I need to say that I only eat 2 things at this restaurant. The Al Pastor tacos and they will make Al Pastor nachos if you ask nicely. As long as I stick to those two things everything is great. My kids love the tacos and on Thursdays I can feed the whole family for about 12 bucks.

Not really digging this place. Tacos were ok but really greasy. The beans were bland, and the salsa bar was not tended too. No Cilantro for me :(. My biggest gripe is that the place smelled like a gas station restroom. I almost didn't eat my food, because I was getting nauseated by the stench of urinal cakes, and dookie.

Love the street pork and Asada tacos here. Wednesday is taco day I think. Eaten here dozens of times.

I have eaten at their other location and really liked the food, so when I passed down Bluff and saw this location minus the "El" in its name, I figured we should give this one a try for lunch. Walking in we were greeted and given time to look over the menu. The menu here is the same as their other location, but if they have half price Al Pastor Tacos on Tuesdays, they didn't have a sign posted the the other one does. The inside here is spacious with a good amount of tables. They have a free salsa and veggie bar and the green sauce is really good! Al Pastor Mulitas ($1.79) - The al pastor here tastes very good! It's on a spit and carved to order. The mulitas are my absolute favorite thing here. They don't skimp on the cheese and the price is very fair. You can choose from any of the meats they offer. Chicken Taco ($1.35) - The chicken was grilled fresh and had a nice flavor. The tacos come just meat and tortilla and then you can add whatever salsas and veggies from the bar you want. Carne Asada Taco ($1.35) - The meat was tender and tasted great. I really enjoyed this taco and would order it again. They do give free grilled peppers and onions with your order and they paired nicely with this taco. I'm a huge fan of this place and will be back when in the area for sure. They also have burritos, quesadillas (they are huge!), tortas and freshly made guacamole. The types of meats they offer are al pastor, chicken, carne asada, chorizo, cabeza, lengua, buche and tripa. They have something for everyone. One thing I did notice was that it was pretty warm inside. I don't know if they were having A/C issues, but we did eat inside and it would have been more comfortable is it was cooler. Good thing the food was worth it!

This is by far, the best place I've eaten at in the entire city of St. George. Ordered a carne asada burrito and a carne asada taco. First off, the workers there are so friendly and courteous. How refreshing. Taco - was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Burrito - same as the taco, but they add their hottest salsa. Word of advice, if you don't like spicy food, ask them to not add any salsa. Chips and guacamole - fresh guacamole. Seasoned perfectly, and just a hint of lemon. Jamaica & horchata, so excited to finally find a place in this town that has these traditional drinks.

Mulitas are definitely worth having here and arent too bad on price. The al pastor fries are great, local shops usually only offer carne asada fries (still great) so this shakes things up a bit. While the restaurant itself is about a 2.5 star status in terms of style, it remains a good locale for the clientele they attract. Go try it.

The Yelp reviews and rating made this place look promising, but we pretty much regretted our visit. We got the carne asada tacos, fish tacos and the carne asada fries, which seemed to be their answer to nachos. I really couldn't recommend any of those items, in particular, the fries which we were told were a signature dish. We would have preferred just regular tortilla chips instead of the fries. We tried the place, it wasn't great, and looks like we won't be going back.

The asada fries were tasty as were the mulitas. Really good food, not the cleanest place ever.

I've tried a lot of Mexican food around Utah and while I have found some decent places this one is the best of them all. They have raised there prices slightly since my last visit but everything is still super cheap and the food is all quality. The tacos this last time were only $1.59 each. They are small like street tacos and 5-6 usually fills me up good. They have a complimentary salsa bar and containers to take salsas and veggies to go. The inside is clean and as a good amount of tables. Call or ask on your next visit because sometimes they have specials on the al pastor. Everything is made fresh to order but you don't have to wait to long for your order. With all of the option on this street alone for Mexican food this is the place to stop.

The bluff street location seems to have not lost any quality of the washington location. I usually get the tacos or the mulitas. The pineapple and hibiscus fruit waters are my favorite!

The fish tacos are the best, bitesizd crispy breaded fish with light garnish of shredded cabbage and diced tomato salsa, stuffed into two fantastic but small tortillas that taste like none other, very light. The Carne asada fries is a large dish of fries covered with excellently seasoned Carne asada, and generous mounds of sour cream, guacamole, salsa and jalapeños. Delicious! Service is cheerful and quick at least on this Saturday evening about 9pm.

Legit Jalisco fare. I've never been disappointed here. The al pastor hits the spot. I love the mulitas al pastor and the torta. I usually order an agua fresca but they have stopped making the pineapple flavored one that I loved, so I usually get a sangria now. The red salsa is delicious as well. The atmosphere is a tad on the plain side. It isn't always the cleanest either. But the food and the service are always great. Give it a try. They serve Pepsi, not Coke :( BUT they have Coke in a glass bottle.

The Al Pastor fries are a travesty against the culinary arts. They're also the best thing since slice bread. You must get them.

We went here based on yelp reviews, I am never let down by you guys. The food here was in fact fantastic. I got the carne asada tacos as you guys suggested and I think I could have eaten 10 (I didn't because I'm sure I'd have gotten sick from over eating but still) my dad got the chili relleno's *special they don't always have these* and said they were great. My brother ate a quesadilla with grilled chicken and he really liked that too. I was very impressed with my food but the girl who took our order was so rude. I was not impressed with her at all. If I'm I St George again I'll eat here again hopefully someone else is working the registar though.

You'll be surprised at how good this place actually is given the location. I'd recommend getting the tacos. 3 tacos are a good portion per person. The tortas and burritos are hefty. The fries are large as well, heavy on the cheese. The El pastor and beef tongue were the proteins that really stood out.

This place was awful!! The reviews must be from family members of the owners. The salsa bar was infested with flies. The floor was dirty. We left over half our food because it was gross.

Some of the best mexican food in town!! The carne asada is never disappointing and the service is always friendly.

Nummy!! Absolutely delicious. bonuses. The carne asada is yummy. The quesadillas were the best I've ever eaten. Also - got a birds eye view of the asada fries - definitely getting those next trip. Only went because of yelp - and very glad we did. It's also next to a Mexican Market that has great authentic fixins. Just do it!

On pit stop thru St George, gave this place a try based on reviews. We ordered a chicken quesadilla, fish tacos and a carne asada burrito. The girl at counter was very nice and the food wasn't bad but the condition of the restaurant will prevent us from coming back. The foul odor from the restrooms and the trash all over the floor of restaurant was gross. I would have given them 2.5 stars if possible.

We had 7 people with our group...we were all lukewarm on the food. I asked for no onions and my burrito was chuck full of onions...unfortunately I didn't discover them until the burrito was half gone (i was starving). Maybe I will post a picture in an hour of the results of me eating onions.

Best Mexican restaurant I have been to in St. George. Most Mexican restaurants in town suck but this is one of the ones you remember. Friendly and good food. What more can you say.

Great Mexican food that's different from most other places. Excellent, although small, tacos. I got carne asada and al pastor in tacos and both were great. Great salsa bar. Everything is fairly spicy, which I enjoyed, but beware the faint of heart! Would be nice to have an option for kids: spent $7 for a quesadilla that would have been nice for adults (meat and cheese) but for two young kids who would only eat a cheese quesadilla, the price seemed excessive. Everything else is reasonably priced.

There Asada Nachos are the best thing they serve there and next would be there salsa bar. We tried there burrito.. Which was okay.. And there tacos.. Not so great.. They definitely need a better selection on tacos... And need some kind of soup! Not sure if they even have a salad for those eating healthy..

Great for Utah. The tacos al pastor were half off tonight (Wednesday) so I got three for $2.17... a bargain! They were good and I like that grilled onion and jalapeño came with the order but were packaged separately. Salsa bar had lots of options and free veggies. Nothing was spicy, but I didn't have very high expectations in that department.

Great find, we decided to try something new and we have no regrets! Had the burrito and chips and guacamole. We liked it enough we tried the street tacos too.

Nice gal at counter. That's it. Greasy chicken quesadia, hard rice in my burrito. Restaurant was filthy. Wish I could say something good....felt like I lit $20 on fire....

Great food at a great price. Fast service and great home made beans at the salsa bar!

Sit down taco cart style restaurant. Good food good fast. A bit greasy on the quesadilla but blame the cheese for that. Definitely good for something a little different than the major chain fast Mexican places.

When you're still salivating over the carne asada and al pastor tacos two nights later I think that merits a 5-star review. Incredible street tacos, quesadillas and mulitas. Prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to go back next time I visit St. George. They have several varieties at the salsa bar, but I loved the guacamole salsa so much I didn't try anything else.

Coyote Charro (the Bluff Street location specifically) is probably my favorite Mexican food I've ever had. It's absolutely delicious and very inexpensive. I was never really even a fan of mini tacos before I was introduced to Coyote Charro by a friend! After my first visit, I was hooked! I went there twice a day for a week straight! The staff are so friendly and helpful, when I finally missed a couple days and went back, the young woman working the register greeted me by my first name and told me that they've missed me! Seriously, if you haven't tried this magical place yet, do yourself a favor and give it a shot! If you have tried it and for some crazy reason you somehow had a bad experience, I would definitely recommend giving it another chance... My mouth is watering while writing this review... I'm heading over there right.

First things first. The place has moved so google it to find the correct address. Now, for the 5 stars, the food was excellent. The authentic flavors reminded me of the roadside stands I visited in Mexico, and fortunately much cleaner and more comfortable. Portions are large, consider sharing, and price very reasonable.

Great food. Authentic taste. Could use a bit more help cleaning tables, but I guess that just makes it more authentic. Loved the good and will be going back frequently.

Casual, quick, authentic mex! Try the Al Pastor! (marinated pork) I recommend Mulitas, (small quesadillas on corn tortillas) & the Al Pastor Fries! The homemade fruit-waters are delicious! If you STILL have room for desert, try the Tres Leches cake! Divine! ONLY complaint would be to turn the music down a little! Otherwise; I LOVE this place!

This was the worse meal I've ever had in a restaurant. I ordered the carne asada burrito. The first few bites each had 2 or 3 pieces of gristle. I thought it was just a fluke so I kept eating. The next bite had a long piece of gristle and some Unrecognizable 1 inch chunk of something very hard and rubbery. That was followed by some hard black thing. I admit the fried onions on the side and the guacamole salsa were very good, but I feel the beef was very carelessly prepared and a very cheap cut of meat was used.

Excellent Carne Asada quesadilla!! Tacos Al Pastor are awesome too! Definitely the best tacos in St. George.

I live in San Antonio, somewhere I can get REAL Mexican food, and this was pretty close. The Carne Asada was a little greasy and I would have liked a little more variety, but good tasting food. My brother-in-law would give this 6 stars he likes it so much.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
